Marc: In many facets of my life, I enjoy pushing boundaries. A joke which is just "over the line" is funnier than one which respects social boundaries. When it comes to photographing the human form, I often embrace a similar attitude.

I love shooting in dramatic and beautiful environments, an activity which, done poorly, could overshadow a model. Little photographically excites me as much as juxtaposing a dilapidated building with my beautiful wife, naked but for a pair of preposterously high stiletto heels. I also love heavy shadows, subject isolation, and shiny objects gleaming in darkness.

My intended aesthetic is generally explicit without being crude, the latter being an ever-moving target as my own interpretations of what is acceptable change frequently. How can I show that which would be at home in the middle of Hustler Magazine in a manner which would be equally at home framed on a wall?

Jamye: I strive to create images that are both expressive and evocative. Our work is primarily erotic in nature, however, my goal is to elicit all manner of responses from the viewer, whether it be fantasy and desire or inspiration or any range of emotions.

FETFAN: How did you get started with modeling and how long have you been in the industry?

Jamye: We’ve been shooting together for almost four years. In the beginning I hated it and he actually had to bribe me with frozen yogurt to get me to pose for him. I was six months postpartum, still breastfeeding, and didn’t have a lot of body confidence. Over time I became more body positive and began to appreciate the expressive value of modeling and I was thrilled with the images we were creating. It quickly became an outlet to expressing my sexuality, which is now a huge part of who I am.

FETFAN: Your work is definitely unique, how did you decide or how did you discover this side of you as a model?

Jamye: I’ve always been a sexual person, but I never would have discovered this side of me if he hadn’t encouraged me to try it. At the time I had lost myself in the role of mother and shooting together helped me to remember myself as a woman and a sexual being. It was incredibly transformative.

FETFAN: What is your favorite category to model and why?

Jamye: Glamour/erotic is my favorite because it excites me the most. Putting on a new outrageously sexy outfit, or even just a beautiful pair of 7” stilettos, and stepping in front of a camera leaves me feeling simultaneously vulnerable and empowered.

FETFAN: FETFAN Magazine is an alternative fine art nude magazine, but at the same time allowing artists to express themselves through their art. Fetishes are one of these forms. Do you have any fetishes that you have modeled or personally find interesting?

Jamye: I love incorporating all types of bondage into our shoots, whether it be handcuffs, chains, Shibari, or other restraints. Other BDSM elements I enjoy incorporating are collars, leashes, floggers, paddles, etc. If I’m posing with another person I love creating a power dynamic that we can play with to portray domination and submission.

FETFAN: Nudes, fine art nudes, how do you feel about the concept and how do you prepare for this type of shoot?

Jamye: I adore nudes, whether they are sexual in nature or not. The human body is fascinating and beautiful and I love the simplicity and rawness of nudity in art. We never really know when we’ll get a chance to shoot so it’s difficult to really prepare, but I try to be mindful of nutrition and exercise if we have something specifically planned.

FETFAN: Throughout your modeling I'm sure you have been to many different places, which have been your favorite and what kind of project were you working on?

Jamye: Over the summer we took a trip to Dubrovnik, Croatia, and Prague and had the opportunity to shoot in a variety of indoor and outdoor locations there that were amazing, including a bombed resort, gorgeous apartments, and an underground dungeon. Last summer we shot at some beautiful beaches in Curaçao.

FETFAN: Is there anyone who has inspired your work?

Jamye: The first nude model that struck my eye was Caprice, and since then I’ve found inspiration from so many models and photographers I’ve come across and had the privilege of interacting with on social media. I’m also inspired daily by my pole sisters, who embrace their sexuality without shame or fear and remind me to do the same.

FETFAN: Who is your favorite artist in the industry and why?

Marc: It seems a great many fine-art nude artists remain anonymous, either because they work on contract or because they otherwise choose to. My favorites and inspirations include Petter Hegre (whose uncompromising quality is beyond reproach), John Tisbury, Brett Michael Nelson, Scott Church, Stefan Grosjean, Dani Fehr, Alexandra Yun ("Saju"), and Markéta Stroblová ("Caprice").

FETFAN: When at a photoshoot, what do you love most about the experience and what do you find challenging as a model?

Jamye: I’m not a professional model so each time I step in front of a camera that fear strikes that I have no idea what I’m doing. That is always my biggest challenge. But that moment when I’m faking it and things seem to click into place is the moment I know we’re going to get some wonderful images. I love the confidence it brings me, knowing I’m bringing exactly what he wanted to the shoot, and ideas flow freely between us.

FETFAN: How would you best describe yourself using just 3 words?

Marc: Not done yet.

Jamye: Little, but strong.

FETFAN: What do you think your strongest feature is in modeling?

Jamye: I think the fact that I’m not a professional makes me more open to trying new concepts and ideas. I’m always interested in learning and growing as a model and as a person.

FETFAN: At the end of the day when all is done what are you most proud of?

Marc: Producing photos which make the model(s) feel amazing. Given human nature of insecurity, I love when I can freeze a moment in which someone is exposed and vulnerable, and have her derive from it strength, joy, and confidence. It is intoxicating.

Jamye: I’m so proud of all the hard work we put into creating our images. It takes a lot of effort and dedication and when people appreciate them it validates all that work and makes it all worth it. I still have moments when he shows me photos from a new set where I’m stunned that it’s me in them and we created this art together.
